Three burglars dressed in black broke through a Sheetrock wall to steal money, cigarettes and beer at a west Bibb County convenience store.
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the burglary that happened about 3 a.m. Thursday at the Marathon gas station at 6199 Thomaston Road, which is on the corner of Price and Thomaston roads.
According to a sheriff’s news release, the culprits went through a boarded up door to a storage room on the side of the building and then bashed through the restroom wall to get into the store.
The burglars dismantled the alarm, the release stated, and some of the store’s motion detectors were not working at the time.
The thieves were wearing all black clothing, black face coverings and white gloves.
