Mike Montoni exhibits a mainstream sound that people are constantly craving. He is an ordinary small town guy who has the energy and drive to succeed in the music industry. Mike Montoni has plenty of experience from playing at numerous shows in the last three years. Mike performed at such venues as El Mocombo and The Tranzac in Toronto. Mike Montoni placed first in Supernova’s Battle of the Bands for the last two consecutive shows. Representatives from "Showcase of America" and "Supernova" have encouraged Mike to keep pursuing music as they believe he will be a very successful musician. Producer “Jim Purdy” from Nashville, Tennessee has suggested that Mike record a demo with him. Producer “Sean Baillie” has yet to work with Mike, but plans to in the near future as he wishes to license an original song by Mike titled “Story Tale” for film purposes. In a country full of musicians, Mike Montoni is recognized for his unique style and “catchy” lyrics.
Mike was introduced to many bands throughout his endeavors. These bands include We Outspoken, Farewell to 44, G.O.B., and The Ataris. With such influences he has made a few of his own distinctive songs. He has several hours of recording experience at “Big Room Studios”, as well as at “The Audio Shop”. Mike Montoni was thrilled when he got to the opportunity to work with John Acosta, Singer/Songwriter who has worked with A Canadian Idol Finalist.
Mike Montoni writes lyrics every chance he has. Mike has graduated from the Seneca@YorkU Independent Music Production Program. It was there that he had the opportunity to work with established musicians John Switzer and Blair Packham as well as Pop Singer/Songwriter Linda Morrozak!
On May 15th-17th of this year, Mike Montoni was enrolled in the "Showcase of America" Talent Competition, where he was given the chance to play his own original song in front of a panel of 40 talent scouts from all over North America. He also got to act out a skit from a television commercial. Mike had modeling experience not only modeling on a runway, but he also had a professional photo shoot done during this venture. After the competition, Mike received a call back from “Jim Purdy”, who hopes to work with him in the near future.
During September this year, Mike Montoni played a CD release at “The Tranzac”. Publisher “Michael MacIsaac” went up to Mike and spoke with him about future projects. Mike also had the opportunity to meet “Doug Brown” from Doug Brown Law. With this contact, any situation that goes to court can easily be fought. This is a man who will pursue his dreams for as long as he breathes.
